Grand Blue controls and useful menus
Grand Blue follows the platform's conventions, so the real edge is knowing which menu does what — and keeping the right objective and skills active.
Menus worth learning first

Let the tutorial teach your input layout
The tutorial introduces the attack, block and movement prompts for your device — keyboard, controller and touch layouts differ. Practice one short combination until it is automatic before adding more; the two story bosses reward muscle memory over repertoire.
Interaction checks by activity
- Digging: equip the Rusty Shovel and approach the marked quest location.
- Mining: use a pickaxe on a suitable resource node — combat weapons do not mine (see life skills).
- Ships: check the boarding and steering prompts; the desktop walkthrough shows holding E for the anchor (see ships & sailing).
- Code entry: Customize Character from the main menu, or Settings → Codes inside a server — paste, then Redeem (see codes).
When an action appears to do nothing
Before spending currency or discarding an item: check the currently equipped item, your distance from the interaction, and the exact active objective — then read the prompt again. Most "broken" interactions are an equipped-tool problem. For a recurring input or quest bug, follow the official game community's support guidance rather than guessing.
